These are nostalgic pieces - songs that look back to an earlier time. Although both of these are not technically written in the 1950s, their sound brought to my mind those romantic ballads and songs that were so prevalent in the 1950s. These peices also let me showcase some of our orchestra's doubling talent - the mix of a full Saxophone section with an orchestra works so well for me.
